Steve's Friday Feature: Celebrating our caring community and the true Pioneer Spirit.

Friday, May 2, 2024

When it’s time for me to write the Friday Feature, I face the same dilemma each week. So many people do remarkable work at Alfred State!

Is it paradoxical to specifically recognize and feature everyone? I think so, but nonetheless, in my last Friday Feature, I would like to spotlight all our faculty, staff, and students at ASC. Thank you all so very much for a wonderful year together.

Thank you for all the time and effort you put into educating our students inside the classroom and the support you give them outside the class. From assisting with student registration, finding employment, and sharing your time and talent, you truly shine. I continue to be in awe of you all.

Whether you are in facilities, finance, enrollment, academics, residential life, student success, human resources, marketing, student life, athletics, advancement, ACES, or elsewhere, both your up-front and behind-the-scenes work makes our institution what it is, which is a special place that succeeds at every turn. Keep up the great job that you do!

And of course, our students are thankful to the entire community of faculty and staff as we have been investing our time and talents in their education and future. Our strong mission is to provide our students with the best opportunities and that gives us all a purpose that motivates and inspires us daily.

This time of year, we are especially excited for the Pioneers who are now entering the working world. We must feature our graduating seniors who have so many stories of success under their belts.

Congratulations! We are so proud of you and wish you the very best in your future endeavors. Stay in touch!

To all, I hope you have a restful and enjoyable summer. Thank you once again.
