Here we go! It is hard to believe that the semester is upon us. How great is it to see everyone back on campus?!?!

As we enter the semester together, I am starting a new Friday Feature in announce to share amazing accomplishments or examples of our employees going above and beyond the calls of duty as a way to acknowledge the great work being done here on campus to serve our students.

This week I would like to share three such tales.

First, I would like to acknowledge and thank Bruce Riley, ISA in SAMET, for taking time away from his busy week to get his own son situated as a new student on campus, but also for taking our Ox Golf Cart and providing rides for families to ease their check-in process. Thank you, Bruce, for sharing your child with us and for helping new families do the same!

Second, I would like to acknowledge and thank Cyan Corwine, Director of Global Engagement and Civic Wellbeing, for taking the time to help one of our students get IT help. Cyan and I were walking into work together when a frazzled first-year student wandered into us at SLC to ask where he could get help with his computer. Cyan not only pointed him in the right direction but took the time to walk him all the way across campus to get that help. Thank you, Cyan, for making this new student feel right at home!

Last, I would like to acknowledge Peter McClain, Director of Accounting and Controls, for helping to organize an event, along with others, that provides clothing options for our students returning to campus. Here is Peter helping with that event. Thank you, Peter, for taking the time to make sure our students are well clothed and ready for the semester!

If you see these wonderful people, please thank them for all they do for our students!
