Alfred State is full of so many amazing people. Faculty and staff that go above and beyond for our community.

Positive attitude. Attention to detail. Team player. This could describe so many people on our campus, but perhaps most fitting when I think of Kandi Geibel.

Kandi is someone who you know you can always rely on to get the job done, but more importantly, she does it in a way that always adds that extra flare.

For example, this last Accepted Student Day saw over 200 students and family members visit campus. The Orvis Gymnasium was packed and decorated in a way that was as inviting as Kandi and the rest of her team. Kandi and her team went above and beyond making our guests feel welcome and part of our Pioneer family.

During lunch, Kandi ate at the table with a family, simultaneously engaging them while still coordinating planning and managing a few bites of the delicious food prepared by our ACES team.

Within the next week, we should exceed 10,000 applications to the College, the first time we ever broke that barrier in recorded history.
