Alfred State celebrated enrollment growth of 20 percent and continued to be ranked No. 1 by US News.

Alfred State celebrates another successful Day of Giving

“With overwhelming support and generosity, we were able to surpass our goal and raised over $270,000. Wonderful things are happening here, and it starts with the passion and support from our alumni and friends. Thanks to another amazing show of support from alumni, faculty, staff, and friends, Alfred State College was able to raise over $270,000 on the eighth annual Day of Giving.

Charles Craig was honored for his service and support of Alfred State College at the annual President’s Society Dinner held at the Lake Lodge. Craig was awarded the President’s Medallion.

Craig has served as a member of the College Council since Nov. 16, 2004. His service and advocacy for the College has helped guide the growth and development of the College.

Today at 11:50 a.m., the Hinkle Bell Tower will play the Armed Forces Medley in honor of all Veterans.

Tonight, we will host a dinner in the Allegany Room to honor veterans on both our campus and at Alfred University.

Alfred State celebrates Homecoming

“We had a ton of events from football games to talent shows to wrestling open practice. You name it and we had it this weekend. It is amazing to have people come to campus to see the great things going on here. Thanks to all our friends, our families, and alumni for showing up this weekend and participating in the fun.”

Construction progress and results at Alfred State

Advancements are not slowing down as Alfred State College (ASC) continues to move forward with multiple construction projects to enhance and beautify the campus. ASC has an ambitious slate of $100 million dollars of improvements underway.

Community gathers for Day of Service in Alfred

“This is so impressive in so many ways. “It is a special combination of efforts between our community, Alfred State, and Alfred University. We are all Alfred at the end of the day. What better way to come together as a team than to make our downtown area more beautiful.”

Just under a hundred individuals including students from Alfred State and Alfred University joined by members of the Alfred community gathered Saturday for a Day of Service. Projects focused on helping spruce up areas on Main St. in Alfred.

“This is so impressive in so many ways,” commented Alfred State President Dr. Steve Mauro. “It is a special combination of efforts between our community, Alfred State, and Alfred University. We are all Alfred at the end of the day. What better way to come together as a team than to make our downtown area more beautiful.”

Alfred State College (ASC) boasts a remarkably strong enrollment this fall with the largest incoming class in the last eight years. This success is made more impressive since COVID led to enrollment declines at many schools nationwide and even forced some institutions to cease operations. 

September 11: Patriot Day and National Day of Service and Remembrance

On Sept. 11, 2001, almost 3,000 people lost their lives during the attacks at the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and aboard United Airlines Flight 93. Twenty-two years later, Alfred State continues to honor these victims and their families. We also remember the heroic efforts of first responders who endangered their lives answering the call.
