SUNY Chancellor King Celebrates Start of the Veterans Enrollment and Support Internship Program From Alfred State

"Our student veteran enrollment and support intern will bring great insight to our enrollment team as we interact with veterans that are pursuing educational opportunities. LaBrozzi named VP for Finance and Administration at ASC

"I was looking for a place to plant my roots and found it at ASC. My initial interactions with the faculty and staff were very positive and welcoming. I got the immediate sense that people at ASC care about the campus and the Alfred community, and love to work there.  It will be a privilege to work and serve with the exceptional leadership team, faculty, staff, and students."

After a national search, Alfred State College (ASC) has named Ryan LaBrozzi the Vice President for Finance and Administration. He begins his new duties on April 8. 

LaBrozzi comes to Alfred State as the college is experiencing record-breaking positive trends. While enrollment difficulties have impacted many colleges and universities nationwide, enrollment and the financial outlook at ASC is strong.

Alfred State has been selected as the runner-up for the National Association of Division III Athletic Administrators (NADIIIAA) Special Olympics, Community Service Award as announced by NADIIIAA today.

Each of the selected institutions has been recognized for the impressive community service projects performed by its student-athletes during the 2022-23 academic year.

Alfred State is awarded $2M for more career-focused education

Alfred State College (ASC) has earned a United States Department of Education grant for over $2 million. The funding is through the Rural Postsecondary and Economic Development Program and recognizes how students at Alfred State earn not only a diploma but also skills that are in high demand in the workforce.

New Year Wishes of Hope and Strength

Since mid-October, our collective attention has been focused on ways to help a fellow Pioneer recover after being assaulted. 

As we turn the calendar to 2024, it is heart-warming to see Derek make such progress at a time when his family was huddled close for the holidays and would benefit so much from all of the answered prayers. Pioneers have shown how much we care about one another.
