Alfred State College (ASC) is using the upcoming inauguration of Dr. Steven Mauro as an opportunity to celebrate the college and the entire WNY region including the great food that is found here. The reception following ASC inauguration ceremonies on October 20 is titled “A Taste of Western New York.”

ASC Culinary Arts to be featured at Garlic Festival

This weekend Alfred State Culinary Arts students and faculty will be on display at the Cuba Garlic Festival. Visit the Stinkin’ Rose tent on Sept. 17 and 18 to see them in action.

The Alfred State College (ASC) Culinary Arts department will host a drive-thru spaghetti dinner on September 22 at the Culinary Arts Building on the Wellsville campus. Proceeds of the event will benefit the program’s scholarship fund.

Canfield earns silver medal at SkillsUSA National Championships – Four Pioneers place in top ten

Alfred State College (ASC) sent a group of eleven (seven students and four faculty/administrators) to the 2022 SkillsUSA National Championships in Atlanta, GA. Devon Canfield (Buffalo) led the way by earning a silver medal in the automotive service technology competition.

The Alfred State College (ASC) Culinary Arts department will host a drive thru pulled pork dinner on April 28 at the Culinary Arts Building on the Wellsville campus. Proceeds of the event will benefit the program’s scholarship fund.

The Alfred State College (ASC) Culinary Arts department will host a drive thru pulled pork dinner on April 28 at the Culinary Arts Building on the Wellsville campus. Proceeds of the event will benefit the program’s scholarship fund.

The dinner will include:
•    Smoked pulled pork
•    Salt potatoes
•    Baked beans
•    Cole slaw
•    Roll
•    Cookie

The cost of the dinner is $10 (cash only). Dinners will be available for drive thru pick up from 3 – 6 p.m. (or until gone) on the right side of the Culinary Arts Building.

The 2021 SkillsUSA New York State Leadership and Skills Conference Postsecondary Championship was held on the Wellsville campus.

The 2021 SkillsUSA New York State Leadership and Skills Conference Postsecondary Championship was held on Alfred State’s Wellsville campus on Saturday, April 2. 32 students from two schools, Alfred State and the Culinary Institute of America, competed against each other in one of the nation’s most prestigious showcases of career and technical aptitude.

The Alfred State College (ASC) Culinary Arts department will host a Veterans Day Fall Buffet at the Wellsville Campus

The Alfred State College (ASC) Culinary Arts department will host a Veterans Day (11/11) Fall Buffet at the Wellsville Campus. Proceeds of the event will benefit the LEEK Hunting Preserve and Culinary Arts Scholarships.

The cost of the buffet, held in the Culinary Arts Building from 5 - 7 p.m., is $18 for adults and $12 for children 10 and under.

Alfred State College’s Culinary Arts Department will hold a pulled pork dinner from 3-6 p.m. (or until gone) Thursday, April 15.

The dinner is a drive-thru, pick-up-only event taking place at the Culinary Building garage on the Wellsville campus. The cost of the meal is $10 and only cash will be accepted.

The menu will include sauced pulled pork, served with a dinner roll. Sides include salt potatoes, baked beans, coleslaw, and dessert.
