Former ASC College Council Chair Pat Fogarty passes away

For more than three decades, it has been her vision and desire to help others that catapulted Alfred State, Allegany County, and all of Western New York forward as she took a genuine interest in helping those in need, finding ways to improve their lives and empower generations to take the next step to a brighter future.”

Former ASC President Dr. John O. Hunter passes away

“Dr. Hunter led the college during such an important time. He started the groundwork of what we are today with the development of bachelor’s degree programs and the building of the Student Development Center, which is so appropriately named after him. I am honored and humbled to follow in the footsteps of leaders like Dr. Hunter who are cornerstones of what Alfred State is today.”

Kishan Zuber named new VP of Enrollment Management at ASC

On June 19, 1865, enslaved Americans in Texas were told they were free. Juneteenth, a celebration of this event, has long been celebrated by the African American community and was signed into law in 2021.
