Alfred State Community,

Afua Boahene and Dr. Brian Saltsman from our Cultural Life Center will be at the Farmers’ Market in Alfred on Sunday, June 18 providing information, Juneteenth-themed pins, and other giveaways related to the holiday. I hope you will stop by and learn more about this important day in American history.

There are other opportunities to celebrate and learn more about Juneteenth in the greater Southern Tier area including an event at Veterans Memorial Park in Hornell on Saturday, June 17.

Sincerely,

Steve Mauro, Ph.D.
