The heart of Alfred State College (ASC) is delivering quality education that helps students develop real world skills. Hands-on learning takes place in the classrooms and in the labs helping Pioneers launch their careers.

Alfred State College president Dr. Steven Mauro has been named to the NCAA Division III Presidents Council. He is the first AMCC president or chancellor to be selected to serve in this leadership role.

The State University of New York announced that John B. King, Jr. is now named to become 15th Chancellor of SUNY. Alfred State College (ASC) and President Dr. Steven Mauro are excited to work with King as he begins his role in January.

As we join friends and family this week to celebrate Thanksgiving, I wanted to express how thankful I am to be a part of this hardworking and dedicated team. We not only provide our students with a quality education, but we support them in our caring community.

On this and every Veterans Day it is important to remember that the freedoms we enjoy are not guaranteed. They are and have been protected by the men and women in our Armed Services. 

In a ceremony that celebrated the pride, purpose, and promise of Alfred State College, Dr. Steven Mauro was inaugurated the 13th president of the college.

On Thursday, the bells will once again be ringing at Alfred State College (ASC) just in time for the inauguration of Dr. Steven Mauro as president.

Alfred State College (ASC) students, graduates, faculty, staff, and community members are looking forward to the inauguration of Steven Mauro, PhD, as the thirteenth president on October 20. One person with an interesting perspective fits each one of these categories.

Student and faculty success will be showcased as guests take the “Pioneer Walk” following the Inauguration of Dr. Steven Mauro, PhD on Oct. 20. Alfred State’s campus will come alive with examples of work done by students.

Homecoming/Family Weekend returns to Alfred State with a schedule full of events to please current students, alumni, families, and friends. Events begin on Oct. 20 and run until Oct. 23.
