“We feel good that all the students that are recipients of our funding are going to be able to go on and have a better life. One of the ultimate goals is to inspire other people to also give so they know the impact of helping these students.”

A group of Alfred State automotive students will begin “The Great Race” in St. Paul, MN on Saturday. The team will travel from Minnesota to South Carolina during the nine-day event.

“I've heard a lot of good things about this event in the past. Being a returning student and seeing thirty-three teams out here supporting current students and the student-athletes at Alfred State really means a lot to us. It's really cool to see everybody invest into the school and invest into the current students.”

Gary Hill, ’77, James (Jimmy) Smith, ’77, and Christine Reynolds, ’07 and ’15, were honored with Alfred State Alumni Awards during a ceremony held Reunion Weekend.

“We love having our alumni back on campus. We look forward to hearing their stories of their time at Alfred State and we are excited to tell and show them the remarkable things our students are currently doing.”

The Alfred Cup, sponsored by the Power and Construction Group, Inc. and ServU Credit Union, will be an annual competition between Alfred University and Alfred State athletic teams.

“Matthew is a great addition to our college council. He brings great industry experience along with a personal knowledge of the college from his time as a student here.”

“I was definitely after her before she was after me. There were some funny stories, when people asked us if we're together and she'd tell them no and I'd be a little disappointed. It was a like-like situation for a little while that just sort of built into something a little bit more.”

Alumni, friends, and members of the community have stood by and supported Alfred State during 2024.

“There is financial need for prospective students who want to attend the college, and this is a great way to engage with local students in the Buffalo area who are looking to attend Alfred State.”
