Alfred State recently held an event at Russell’s Steakhouse in Buffalo to update alumni on the college and its ongoing Major Gifts Campaign, which has so far raised $5.2 million for athletics, new programs, scholarships, technology, and the greatest needs of the college.

Each year, Alfred State College (ASC) students’ lives and futures are changed for the better thanks to scholarship donors.

Jessica Longwell, a 2015 Alfred State nursing graduate, was recently recognized as an extraordinary nurse by The DAISY Foundation. 

Alfred State engineering science alumnus Walter Jakubowski recently earned the Juror’s Award for his abstract photograph currently on display at a show in Rochester.

The couple’s endowment fund helps building trades, automotive trades, and heavy equipment students at the Wellsville campus further their education.

Alfred State College recently honored a couple of Pioneers and recognized its major contributors at an annual President’s Society Dinner at the Alfred Lake Lodge. 

A group of Alfred State alumni recently held a food drive at Diversion Brewing Co. in Chemung to help families dealing with food insecurity resulting from COVID-19.

Throughout his career as a sound engineer, Maitland has been involved with more than 100 films, ranging from “I Am Legend,” to “Seabiscuit,” to “Joker.”

When Justin Recktenwald noticed a Facebook post about a local business converting alcohol into hand sanitizer, he saw an opportunity to help out and make a positive impact on his community.
