Alumni Reunion Weekend is right around the corner

Alfred State alumni enjoy the 2024 Alumni Reunion Weekend. Alumni and friends are invited to return to campus June 6 – 8 to take part in the 2025 Reunion.

Alfred State College (ASC) will welcome back alumni and friends for the annual Alumni Reunion Weekend, June 6-8.

“We have a lot of exciting events planned and we can’t wait to welcome back alumni,” commented ASC Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Relations John Lewis. “We are offering attendees the opportunity to stay at the renovated MacKenzie Complex, honoring a trio of distinguished of alumni, and allowing everyone to reconnect with their alma mater.”

ASC’s reunion weekend starts on Friday afternoon with a Champagne Check-In in the MacKenzie Commons (4 – 7 p.m.). Happy hour and heavy appetizers will be available. Lodging in the MacKenzie Complex is available for both nights of the weekend. A CommUNITY Song fest, a collaboration between ASC, AU, and the Village of Alfred, will take place at the Village Bandstand starting at 9 p.m.

Alumni Reunion Registration

Saturday begins with the All-Alumni Brunch in the Student Leadership Center at 10 a.m. The brunch will feature the presentation of the Distinguished and Young Alumni Awards.

Attendees can take advantage of the college’s disc golf course or play pickleball throughout the weekend. The Campus Store will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday and a Makers on Main Street Art & Craft Show will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Village Bandstand.

A Walking Tour of campus will be available at Noon while the Big Blue Trolley will circle campus and Main Street from Noon to 4 p.m. for attendees to hop on and off to visit places on campus or downtown.

Cornhole, lawn games, and a paint and sip will take place, with a cash bar and heavy appetizers, will be held between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Evening activities will begin at 5 p.m. with that Name That Tune in the MacKenzie Commons followed by the All-Alumni Dinner which will feature campus updates from ASC President Dr. Steven Mauro.
