HistoriCorps is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that provides volunteers of all skill levels with a hands-on experience preserving historic structures on public lands across America.

Lt. Scott Bingham and Lt. Kris Bianchi spoke to more than 100 area high school students who were at the event to learn about healthy relationships and the lifelong hazards of sexting on their phones.

Produced by the Sierra Club, the most enduring and influential grassroots environmental organization in the United States, the 50-minute-long film tells the backstory of clean energy from innovation to installation. The event is free and open to the campus community and the general public.

Bailey, 26, is a graduate of ASC’s electrical construction and maintenance electrician program, and currently works at Frey Electric. In addition to earning a generous salary, Bailey has two pensions, an annuity, two vehicles, and he and his wife reside in a house they purchased in Arcade.

As someone who takes great pride in both his Egyptian heritage and his American citizenship, Senior Capital Projects Manager Hady El Sayed integrates the best of both cultures into his daily life at Alfred State College (ASC).

Since moving to Wellsville from Cairo more than three years ago, El Sayed has come to embrace small town life in the US, while also staying true to his Middle Eastern roots and faith. El Sayed himself has likewise felt embraced since becoming a part of the Allegany County community.

Numerous students, alumni, faculty, and staff came out to celebrate and display their Pioneer Pride during Alfred State College’s 2018 Homecoming and Family Weekend.

On Friday, Pioneers and their families enjoyed fun events at the annual spirit rally and bonfire and the first friendly competitions of the Pioneer Challenge, such as the Not-So-Naked-Half-Mile and tug-of-war, while listening to live music by the Alfred State Rock Band and eating a number of goodies.
