Both the associate and bachelor’s degree programs for nursing at Alfred State are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and registered by the New York State Education Department.

The Alfred State College (ASC) chapter of SALUTE inducted four new members, Jennifer Aul (Avoca, NY), Ryan Darrow (Webster, NY), Johnathon Helms (Portville, NY), and Matthew Proper (Perry, NY). 

“WNY Works is a collaborative effort to heighten awareness and interest in associate degrees, certificates, and non-credit training to provide the knowledge and skills necessary for individuals to launch high-demand careers. The goal of this effort, in part, is to reframe perceptions of learning opportunities that lead to careers such as highly skilled trades and technical opportunities in manufacturing.”

With growing healthcare needs in rural areas, Alfred State College (ASC) is further strengthening ties with the University at Buffalo (UB) thanks to a $250,000 High Needs Nursing Grant from the State University of New York (SUNY).

Alfred State College students, faculty, and staff participated in the fall poetry reading event hosted by the English and Humanities Department.

From running through the academic halls as a kid to walking the same halls for the last 26 years as a professor, Mike Putnam, has Alfred State College pride running through his body.
