Jennifer Chiaino, a dispatcher at University Police, and Alan Vlakancic, an assistant professor in the Architecture and Design Department were the recipients of the Leadership through Civic Engagement award.

A trio of Alfred State faculty members were honored with the Excellence in Faculty Advising Award. Tony Aquilina (Assistant Professor Business), Stephen Cady (Instructor Building Trades), and Breanna Willson (Assistant Professor Nursing).

Alfred State’s Julie Abbey, Bob Haley, and Zeda Thomas were honored with Pioneer Awards at the annual Recognition Celebration.

Alfred State honored employees celebrating service milestones at the annual employee recognition luncheon. The event also honored retirees, and Craig Clark was awarded the Pioneer Spotlight Award.

“From the road trip to the field work it was all a great experience; we were able to gain new experiences in the field from doing demo, putting up sidings, and doors. The Habitat team were great teaching us how to do specific tasks, use tools, and no matter how many times the same question was asked they always responded kindly.”
