Quinn Scanlon will travel to Italy and will take part in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo World Final. He will be with the team the whole week through testing, practice, qualifying, and the actual races on Nov. 18 and 19.

“Getting to participate in projects like this is satisfying in multiple ways. Being able to apply skills we learn in the classroom while helping the local community is a double victory. Our students enjoyed being part of the project and are proud of the final product.”

The Alfred State Culinary Arts department will host a spaghetti take-out dinner on Nov. 16 to benefit the family of Derek Correa. 

“The professors are awesome. They are all guys that have experience, and they are all masters at what they do. It is nice to be able to ask questions to somebody who wants to help, and they know the answers.”

The Culinary Arts department will host an Oktoberfest buffet style dinner on Oct. 12 at Alfred State’s Wellsville campus (2530 River Rd., Wellsville, NY 14895). The dinner is $25 each and the proceeds will benefit Culinary Arts scholarships.

Alfred State College’s culinary arts students and faculty along with the western equestrian team participated in the Cuba Garlic Festival last weekend.

The Alfred State College (ASC) Culinary Arts department will host a take-out barbecue dinner on September 21 at the Culinary Arts Building on the Wellsville campus. Proceeds of the event will benefit the program’s scholarship fund.

“In the shop we take what we learn in the classroom and put it all together. We get customer cars, diagnose them, figure out what is wrong, and return to the customers. Lots of live experience.”
