The Terrace Competes in State-wide Best Burger Restaurant Contest

“We love using local products, and our new signature burger highlights some of the best beef from right in our own backyard,” said Karen Canne, director of Dining Services. “Bron has cooked up a burger that is a perfect blend of East-West cuisine that we’re proud to serve to our customers.”

Juicy beef burgers take center stage in the New York Beef Industry Council’s 2012 Best Burger Restaurant competition, and the Dining Services team at Alfred State is bullish on bringing home the prize. The contest winner will be selected from online votes placed between Feb. 1 and March 15, 2012.

Alfred State to Host Author Rahul Mehta Feb. 15

Mehta’s presentation will consist of his reading an essay he wrote about his coming out to his parents. He will also discuss the title story of his most recently published book "Quarantine."

Alfred State will host author Rahul Mehta on Wednesday, Feb. 15, at 7 p.m. in room 215 of the Engineering Building on the Alfred campus. The event, which is sponsored by the college’s English Department, student literary magazine Ergo, the Drama Club, and the Rainbow Union, is open to the public free of charge. There will be a reception following his talk.
