“Learning both the creative and the principle of marketing gives you the real-world experience of what it would be like in marketing. It helps me stand out to have knowledge of both.”

Jessie feels that she is benefiting from the program’s dual focus on principles and creativity. “Learning both the creative and the principle of marketing gives you the real-world experience of what it would be like in marketing. It helps me stand out to have knowledge of both.”
A trip to the national Adweek Commerce Conference in New York City has Jessie excited for what's ahead in her marketing career. “I got to connect with CEOs, CMOs, and leaders of industry, and it was a really good experience seeing digital marketing in the real world.”
The professors have added to her experiences. “The professors are helpful. They are always using real-world examples of marketing and advertising to help our transition to becoming professionals.”
Jessie has moved from playing on the basketball team to serving as a student assistant coach. “Basketball really helped me make new friends and fit in. Coaching has helped me with my leadership skills.”
The small-town community is Jessie’s favorite part of Alfred. “It is more welcoming to come in to another small town. Making friends is easier.”
Alfred State has created a path that has Jessie excited for her future as a marketing professional.
