Alfred State has helped Devin make valuable connections with employers, which have led to internships at two companies.

For Devin Hall, enrolling at Alfred State just made sense.

“I asked around and everyone that told me about Alfred State said it’s a really great college and that they enjoyed it. My dad came here and he enjoyed it. Plus, the machine tool technology program is the best of its kind that I have seen.”

Devin loves Alfred State and his program for many reasons, from plenty of hands-on learning opportunities, to friendly professors, to small class sizes. He also enjoys that he gets to learn something new every day.

“Every day I come in here, I learn something new, even if it’s just something little. It’s never boring.”

Alfred State has also helped Devin make valuable connections with employers, which have led to internships at two companies: Keystone Tool & Die and Scott Rotary Seals.

“I was basically a tool and die maker for Keystone. I’d make little parts that they assigned me. For Scott Rotary Seals, I worked with the CNC machinists and then I’d do some manual lathe work.”

With so much hands-on experience gained and valuable connections made, Devin feels fully prepared for the workforce because of his program and Alfred State.

“The program overall is awesome. It’s prepared me to work at any company I want to work at.”
