Emily discovered her talent for welding in high school and chose Alfred State because she wanted an education that would give her the experience she needed to be confident entering the field.
“I didn’t just want the piece of paper. I wanted a good degree with an in-depth education and real experience. I wanted to spend more time under the hood rather than just rushing through the theory. And Alfred State has really awesome professors who come from all walks of life and different trades. When students get out in the real world, they are definitely more prepared for it.”
