Hyman played for Pioneer Head Coach Jerry Jusianiec from 2004-2006.  While wearing the Blue and Gold, Hyman and his teammates had a 36-21 record including a 20-9 record during the 2005-06 season.  The 20 wins were the most wins for the program under Jusianiec and the most wins since the 1995-96 season.

Hyman averaged 18.1 points and 8 rebounds during his sophomore year leading to 1st team All-Region and 1st team All-WNYAC honors.  He also passed out 78 assists and was credited with 39 steals.  This followed a rookie season where he averaged 14.9 points and 5.7 rebounds.

Hyman finished his career at Alfred State with 908 points (16.5 average), 378 rebounds (6.9 average), and 175 assists (3.2 average).  He finished his career with 81 made three-pointers.

Voorhees College, a member of NAIA, finished the 2006-07 season with a 15-8 record.  The team has qualified for the NAIA National Tournament three of the past four years.

Jusianiec is excited about Hyman's future.  "Damian will have a great opportunity at Voorhees.  He is being asked to be an impact player right away.  I believe that Damian's athletic abilities will be a great asset to their program as they try to return to the National Tournament."
