Autobody repair

Already in her first year, Alexandra has gained experience with fender and hood repair, as well as her favorite type of autobody work: painting.

After working with her father to repair a damaged four-wheeler, Alexandra Torregrossa was certain that she wanted to pursue a career in the autobody industry.

She decided to check out Alfred State’s autobody repair program, and found that it was the right fit for her.

“It has a very friendly environment. The teachers are very nice and welcoming. Everyone in the class is very welcoming, too. They help you get into the program and understand it, no matter if you’re male or female, if you know stuff or if you don’t know anything.”

One of Alexandra’s favorite aspects of her program is the amount of hands-on work she gets. Already in her first year, Alexandra has gained experience with fender and hood repair, as well as her favorite type of autobody work: painting.

While she is still deciding which exact career is right for her, Alexandra feels that she is on the road to success thanks to all of the real-world experience and support she has received at Alfred State.

“The teachers and the senior students help guide you. They help get you going.”
