Alfred State College University Police Officer Joe Histed was instrumental in putting together the Allegany County Junior Fireman’s Camp. The event was part of a Leadership Allegany project and he enlisted Dispatcher Jamie Dennis-Howe to assist with the event.

Pioneer Cuts, a new barbershop located in the Pioneer Center at Alfred State College, has officially opened. The space will give students the opportunity to get a fresh cut right on campus.

In a ceremony that celebrated the pride, purpose, and promise of Alfred State College, Dr. Steven Mauro was inaugurated the 13th president of the college.

Approximately 6,500 pounds of newly restored bells are hung prior to the 50th anniversary of Hinkle Bell Tower.
