BS - Virginia Tech, Soil Science
My teaching and research interests include soil science, soil fertility, and precision agriculture. I have taught courses in many areas of agriculture or the past 20 years and feel that soil science is fundamental to the study of agriculture and that the study of agriculture is fundamental to our existence.
I have been teaching for over twenty years, but I have also worked in extension and retail management.
My research has included the reclamation of soils disturbed by mining, the application and use of phosphorus in agriculture, and various aspects of precision agriculture.
When I am not teaching, I enjoys tinkering in my workshop, restoring old equipment, and blacksmithing.
