After a scoreless first half, Jordan Oakley got the Hornets on the board with a pretty goal with 21:07 remaining.

The Pioneers knotted the game up with just 4:04 remaining in regulation when Eric Cline (WT Clarke) found Yuji Ueno (Tokyo, Japan) who put the ball past the Hornet keeper.

BCC had an amazing chance to end the game in the closing seconds of regulation but Pioneer keeper Daniel Krajcir (Gloversville) made a point blank save to send the game into overtime.

Handley's game-winner was set up by a Masanari Yamamoto (Tokyo, Japan) who had a scoring opportunity seconds before.

Krajcir ended the contest with 10 saves while Chris Ousterout made 11 saves for the Hornets.

The Pioneers are now 4-4 (3-3 Region III Division III) on the season and will host Niagara CCC in their homecoming contest at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.
