The Alfred State College men's swimming team finished the four-day NJCAA National Championship in 7th place.  The blue and gold racked up 193 points.  Indian River (FL) CC continued their dominance in the pool by repeating as national champion.

The Alfred State College men's swimming team finished the four-day NJCAA National Championship in 7th place.  The blue and gold racked up 193 points.  Indian River (FL) CC continued their dominance in the pool by repeating as national champion.

Brett Kozlowski (N. Tonawanda) had the best individual performance thus far in the championships.  He finished 8th in the 400 IM in 4:26.71.  He also finished 9th in the 1650 free (17:25.67) and 10th in the 200 breast (2:18.98). 

Aaron Mychack (Lansing) finished 9th in the 200 fly (2:05.88), 11th in the 100 back (58.62) and 13th in the 100 fly (55.25).  Philip Valenta (Maine Endwell) was 10th in the 200 back (2:11.17) and 12th in the 100 back (59.78).  Cory Roberts (Marcus Whitman) was 13th in the 200 fly (2:16.42) and 16th in the 100 fly (1:00.35).  Kevin Minderein (Mullica Hill, NJ) was 13th in the 1650 free (18:55.26).

The 400 free relay team of Brett Au (N. Tonawanda), Minderlein, Kozlowski, and Mychack finished 6th (3:29.64) and the 200 medley relay team of Josiah Halbohm (Bemus Point), Valenta, Roberts, and Au (N. Tonawanda) finished in 1:51.25 to earn 7th place.
