The Alfred State College lacrosse team struggled in the second half and fell 18-6 to Herkimer CCC in cold and windy conditions.  The Pioneers trailed just 5-3 at half but were outscored 13-3 in the second.

The Alfred State College lacrosse team struggled in the second half and fell 18-6 to Herkimer CCC in cold and windy conditions.  The Pioneers trailed just 5-3 at half but were outscored 13-3 in the second.

Kevin Gardrvits (Glen Cove) netted four goals and passed out an assist to lead the blue & gold's offense.  Mike Hart (Ajax, ONT) chipped in two goals while Chance Lowry (Waterloo) was credited with an assist.

Brad Stowell (Marcellus) made 25 saves in net for ASC .  He faced over 60 shots on the day.

Herkimer controlled the face-off circle winning 18 of the 21 draws.

The Pioneers (0-3) are scheduled to open their home portion of their schedule on Wednesday when they take on Genesee CC at 4 p.m.
