ASC, AU, and Sunnking Are Joining Forces During Earth Week

Enjoying that new iPad, but don’t know what to do with the clunky desktop it replaced? Alfred State College, Alfred University, and Sunnking Electronics Recycling are joining forces during Earth Week to help you out.

Beginning Tuesday, April 19, from 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, April 20, from 9 a.m. -2 p.m., ecologically minded volunteers from ASC and AU, as well as Sunnking representatives will be on hand at the Alfred State storage barn, located in the Village of Alfred at 947 Route 244, to relieve you of a variety of electronic devices in an environmentally responsible way that adheres to all local, state, and federal laws and regulations in the United States. This service is free of charge to area residents and local businesses.

Items that are acceptable for recycling include laptops, desktops, computer accessories, TVs, monitors, audio/video equipment, mp3 players, communications equipment, servers and IT equipment, printers, scanners, copiers, fax machines, cell phones, PDAs, medical/lab equipment, and anything else with a circuit board or cord.

Sunnking cannot accept refrigerators and other large household appliances, anything containing freon, hazardous waste materials, liquids, yard equipment, gas-powered equipment, mercury-containing devices, items leaking fluid, radioactive materials, or PCB containing materials.

Founded in 2000, Sunnking Inc. is an electronics recycling, data destruction, and asset management company dealing in end-of-life electronic equipment.
