Alfred State got on the board first when Holli Pierce (Livonia) scored after getting a long pass from Danielle Henry (Arkport) with 24:31 remaining in the first half.
Victoria Reynolds tied the game up with 40:51 remaining in the game when she scored on a rebound of a shot taken by Samantha Spohler.
Pierce answered right back 38 seconds later when she took a long lead pass from Danielle Hill (Addison) and scored her second of the night.
Neither team could find the back of the net until the Lady Hawks were awarded a direct kick in the final minute. Spohler took the direct kick and found the top of the net to send the game into OT with 55 seconds remaining.
MVCC held a slight 16 to 14 shot advantage. Mo Parks (Avoca) made ten saves for ASC while Caitlyn Smith made seven for the Hawks.
Alfred State was making their sixth straight appearance in the Region III Division III Tournament and finish the 2010 campaign with a 11-5 overall record and a 10-4 mark in Region III Division III play.
