The Alfred State Trap team won the Class 1A Conference C fall season regular season championship. The first-year team now shifts their focus to the USA College Target League National Championships.

Alfred State’s team consists of thirteen members and is the only team in New York to place. The team is ranked #5 in the nation. Jameson Martin (Clifton Springs, NY) is currently ranked the #1 male while Ashley Burrows (Belmont, NY) is the #1 female. Teresa Cicora (Springwater, NY) is the #3 female.

The Alfred State team will shoot in the National Championship on Saturday, Nov. 4 at the Almond Rod & Gun Club. The team will compete from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

After the event is complete (at approximately 3 p.m.), the team encourages spectators to try the sport. Those wanting to shoot should bring their own ammunition and there will be a $10 fee to participate.
