For the fourth consecutive year, Alfred State is calling upon Pioneers and supporters everywhere to make a big difference in the lives of students by participating in the college’s annual Day of Giving.

This year’s event, which will take place Nov. 19, is looking to raise $200,000. Each donation, no matter the size, makes an impact on current and future students, with gifts benefiting scholarships, programming, athletics, new technology, and so much more.

Alfred State Director of Development Trish Haggerty said, “As we head into our fourth annual Day of Giving here at Alfred State, we truly hope this is becoming a tradition that alumni and friends of the college recognize as a special day. We have a lot of fun and engaging events planned on campus for students and faculty to enjoy, and we strongly encourage our alumni everywhere to join us and show their Pioneer Pride by making a gift. Over 700 students benefit from scholarships to Alfred State every year, many of which might not attend without that assistance. They need your support.”

In helping to reach its goals, Alfred State is making it as easy as possible for people to give and be a part of this great event. Any gift made to Alfred State between now and Nov. 19 will be counted toward the Day of Giving.

Donations can be made:

  • Online at www.alfredstate.edu/make-a-gift
  • Over the phone when speaking to one of the college’s volunteer callers that day
  • By mailing in a gift to Alfred State Institutional Advancement, 10 Upper College Drive, Alfred, NY 14802.

Those looking to be a part of the action that day are encouraged to visit www.alfredstate.edu/make-a-gift, “like” facebook.com/AlfredStateAlumni, follow twitter.com/AlfredStateAlum, and share the Day of Giving toolkit content. The toolkit, found on alfredstate.edu/make-a-gift, will enable supporters to download social media cover images, as well as a profile badge showing they gave.

Furthermore, Alfred State will be hosting a number of exciting on-campus events on Nov. 19 for Day of Giving to engage and educate students about the importance of giving back.
