Trio of Lady Spikers Named All-WNYAC

Alfred State College sophomore volleyball players Brittany Haines (Salamanca) and Kelley Dumbleton (Warsaw) were named 1st team All-WNYAC this weekend while freshman Meghan Kraus (Trumansburg) was a 2nd team selection.

Haines has a solid all-around season for the Lady Pioneers.  She has passed out 702 assists (7.8 per game), has been credited with 333 digs (3.7 per game), and has 88 kills (1 per game).  She has also added 34 service aces and 12 blocks.  This is the second year in a row that Haines has been a 1st team All-WNYAC selection.

Dumbleton lead the Lady Pioneers with a .309 hitting efficiency.  She has 245 kills (2.7 per game), 272 digs (3.0 per game), and 32 blocks.  She has also served 33 aces on the year and has a team high 408 service attempts.

Kraus leads ASC with 3.2 kills per game (292 total kills and a .264 hitting percentage).  She also has 106 digs (1.2 per game), 34 aces, and 18 blocks.

The Lady Pioneers are 24-9 overall this season and 23-7 in Region III Division III play.  ASC has earned the #2 seed in this week's Region III Division III Tournament and will look to win the program's third Regional title in the past four years.  The winner of the Regional Tournament advances to the NJCAA Division III National Championships is Rochester, MN.
