The Alfred State College basketball teams struggled in road contests at Monroe CC.  The men fell 75-54 to the #3 ranked Tribunes while the women were defeated 114-49 by the #13 ranked Lady Tribunes.

The Alfred State College basketball teams struggled in road contests at Monroe CC.  The men fell 75-54 to the #3 ranked Tribunes while the women were defeated 114-49 by the #13 ranked Lady Tribunes.

Neil Wilson (Ft. Worth, TX) was the only Pioneer in double figures for the men.  He finished with 20 poitns while Rasean Parris (Brooklyn/Benjamin Banneker) added seven points. 

Four different Tribunes finished in double figures with Antonio Williams and Bobby Bell each finishing with 14.  MCC held a 46 to 38 advantage on the boards and forced 23 turnovers.

Five Lady Tribunes finished in double figures as they cruised to a victory.  Danay Collier led the way with 24 points while Cyialece Davis came off the bench and had a double-double with 18 points and 11 boards.

Brittney Brooks (Elmira Free) led the blue & gold with 14 points and 14 rebounds while Shadeeka Campbell (Brooklyn/William Grady) came off the bench and had 11 points and 10 boards.  The Lady Pioneers turned the ball over 32 times.

The blue & gold return to action on Saturday when they host Genesee CC.  The women tip-off at 1 p.m. with the men following at 3 p.m.
