The Alfred State College track and field team wrapped up the regular season with a strong performance at the SUNY Geneseo Invitational.

The Alfred State College track and field team wrapped up the regular season with a strong performance at the SUNY Geneseo Invitational.

The Pioneer relays teams had big days.  The women’s 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams each were victorious.  The 4x100 team of Pam Breedlove (Rochester/East), Briana Dorsey (Rochester/School of the Arts), Shea McKee (Canisteo Greenwood), and Tara Noble (Rochester/Marshall) finished in 51.95 while McKee, Tara Murphy (Rochester/Wilson), Noble, and Breedlove finished in 4:07.8.  The men’s 4x100 relay team of Rawle Crawford (Mt. Vernon), Ken Boyer (Albion), Dre Johnson (Rochester/Edison), and Brett Harrington (Rochester/Edison) won in 43.00.  The 4x400 relay team of Rony St. Simon (Farmingdale), Russel Yerger-Moe (Wales Center/Iroqouis), Boyer, and David Miller (Elmira Southside) was 3rd in 3:27.01.

Harrington won the 110 m hurdles (14.73), Murphy won the 400 (58.95), Dorsey was 2nd in the 100 (12.60), and Crawford was 2nd in the 200 (22.17).  McKee qualified for nationals in the 100 (13.63) and Boyer qualified in the 200 (22.66).

The Pioneers head to SUNY Delhi on Friday to compete in the two-day Region III Championships
