The Alfred State College volleyball team remained ranked #9 in the latest NJCAA Division III poll.  It is the second straight week the team holds the #9 spot and the third week the team has been in the top ten.

The Alfred State College volleyball team remained ranked #9 in the latest NJCAA Division III poll.  It is the second straight week the team holds the #9 spot and the third week the team has been in the top ten.

The Lady Pioneers are currently 11-1 on the season.  They have won their last two matches downing Monroe CC 3-0 last Tuesday and #10 ranked Niagara CCC 3-2 last evening. 

Alfred State has been in the NJCAA Division III poll for most of the last three seasons.  The team is joined in the poll by fellow Region III members: #8 Jamestown CC and #10 Niagara CCC.  ASC is 1-1 on the year versus JCC and 1-0 versus NCCC.

The Lady Pioneers will next take the court on Friday when they try to defend their Onondaga CC Tournament championship from last season.  The 10-team tournament features four pool play games before a three-tier playoff system begins on Saturday afternoon.  Alfred State takes the court beginning at 3 p.m. on Friday.
