What are your personal and team expectations for this season? In the beginning of the season we were all asked what our expectations were for this season and everyone said they wanted to make it to Nationals. Now that we have begun our season I feel as though we can accomplish this goal. Last year's team leaves us with high expectations to live up to and we all understand what's ahead of us and are ready to fulfill those expectations.

What is the biggest difference between playing in a tournament and playing a single match? We are out to accomplish one thing in both tournament play and single match play and that is to win. However, tournament play requires a lot more focus and stamina. Tournament play goes on all day and you play many different teams. We have to know every team and be prepared for what type of offense and defense they run. With single match play we only have to worry about one team for the whole match.

What are 2 goals that you would like to accomplish before graduating? I would like to make it to Nationals and become a much stronger more confident athlete. I would also like to graduate with a solid average knowing where I want to continue my education.

Who has been your biggest influence? My whole family has been my biggest influence. Both my parents were athletes growing up so they know what I am going through at times. I also have 2 sisters who play volleyball. My older sister plays at SUNY Cortland and my younger sister is still in high school but, those are the two people who I always go to when I need help. My older sister was always a role model for me and that's who I looked up to because she was only three years older than me and knew exactly what I was going through.

How do you deal with the pressure of meeting both athletic and academic responsibilities? Managing my time is probably the biggest thing that helps me during the season. If I know I have an away game I make sure all my work is done ahead of time so that I don't have to worry about homework and I can concentrate on the match.

What type of music do you listen to right before a match? I listen to whatever pumps me up.

If you could have superpowers, what would they be? I would love to be able to fly. But, I also think it would be cool to be able to read people's minds.

Name 3 people, past or present, that you would like to meet? Misty May, Shawn Johnson, and Derek Jeter
