Marcus McAfee hit a running jumper as time expired to lead Jamestown CC to a 65-63 overtime victory over Alfred State on Saturday at the Orvis Activities Center.  The Pioneers finish the regular season with a 16-13 record (7-7 WNYAC).

With 22 seconds remaining in overtime Cody Troutman hit his 5th three-pointer of the game to give the Jayhawks a 63-62 lead.  In Alfred State's next possession Dan Foley (Irondequoit) was fouled with just 4.1 second remaining.  He missed the first and made the second before McAfee sprinted down the court and got the shot off just before the horn sounded.

In regulation, Foley and Neil Wilson (Ft. Worth, TX) were each 2 for 2 from the foul line to give erase a 49-48 deficit and give the Pioneers a 52-49 lead with 13 seconds remaining.  Troutman sent the game into overtime when he banked in a three-pointer with just under eight seconds left.  Prior to Foley and Wilson's foul shots, ASC missed their previous four foul shots.

Troutman led JCC with 17 points (5 for 12 from three).  Thomas Lee added 13 points and 11 rebounds, Marcus McAfee chipped in 12 points, and John Wernahm had 11 points and seven boards.  JCC shot 41.9% (26 for 62) from the field, 42.1% (8 for 19) from three, but just 38.5% (5 for 13) from the foul line.

Travis Brannen (Elmira Free) led ASC with 18 poitns and 11 boards while Foley finished with 17 points, 12 rebounds, and six assists.  Wilson finished with 12 points and Geoff Hicks (Buffalo/Cleveland Hill) chiped in nine points and 10 boards.  ASC shot 42.1% (24 fof 57) from the field, 14.3% (2 for 14) from three, and 50% (13 for 26) from the foul line.  The Pioneers held a 46 to 33 advantage on the boards.

The Pioneers now await the seeding for the Region III Division II Tournament scheduled to begin on Tuesday evening.  It is projected the team will be the #5 and will travel to #4 Jamestown CC.  Official announcement of the seeding will be made by Monday morning.
