The Pioneers, the #2 seed, had a bye in the first round while the Panthers, the #10 seed upset #7 Genesee CC 2-1. ASC and TC3 met just a few days ago in the regular season finale for the Blue & Gold. ASC came out victorious 1-0 behind a goal by Hiroshi Ozaki (Tokyo, Japan).
Alfred State, ranked #7 in the latest NJCAA poll, is 12-3 on the season and 12-1 in Region III Division III contests. The team is riding a 11-game Region III Division III winning streak and has recorded six straight shutouts.
The winner of this quarterfinal match-up advances to the Final Four where they will meet the winner of #3 SUNY Delhi and #6 North Country CC. The semifinal match-up would take place at 3 p.m. at Herkimer CCC.
