Lady Pios land six on All-WNYAC team

The Alfred State College women's soccer team had six players named to All-Western New York Athletic Conference.  Jody Ninos (Alfred-Almond) and Marie Alessi (Greece Athena) were 1st team selections while Ashleigh Houghtaling (N. Potter, PA), Lyndsay Shultz (Whitesville), Taylor Reynolds (Alfred-Almond), and Tiffany McLaughlin (Wellsville) were named 2nd team.

The Alfred State College women's soccer team had six players named to All-Western New York Athletic Conference.  Jody Ninos (Alfred-Almond) and Marie Alessi (Greece Athena) were 1st team selections while Ashleigh Houghtaling (N. Potter, PA), Lyndsay Shultz (Whitesville), Taylor Reynolds (Alfred-Almond), and Tiffany McLaughlin (Wellsville) were named 2nd team.

Ninos led the Lady Pioneers with 15 goals and 10 assists.  She scored in seven games and picked up three hat tricks.  Alessi finished the season with 32 points on 10 goals and 12 assists.  She also scored in seven games and recorded one hat trick.

Houghtaling scored 7 goals and passed out 2 assists from her midfield position while Shultz scored 5 goals and passed out 5 assists on the season.  Reynolds anchored the defensive core in front of McLaughlin.  ASC allowed 1.92 goals per game and recorded three shutouts.  McLaughlin made 97 saves in 1,003 minutes in net.  She finished the year with a 1.98 goals against average.

The Lady Pioneers finished the season ranked #5 in the Region III Division III Tournament with a 8-4-1 record.
