The Alfred State College women’s basketball team never could get much going as they fell 66-43 to Jamestown CC on Thursday. ASC falls to 11-10 on the year while JCC improves to 20-5.
Camille Romero (Queens Village/Mary Louis) led the Lady Pioneers with 16 points and eight rebounds while Nuri Bey (Bronx/Evander Childs) had a monster night with 14 points and 21 rebounds. ASC was slowed by 2 for 22 shooting from three and 50% foul shooting.
Beth Gribble led the JCC balanced attack with 17 points while Hannah Reynolds added 13. Jillian Brunswick chipped in 11. The Jayhawks had nine different players score and led throughout the contest.
The blue & gold return to action on Saturday when they travel to Monroe CC for a 2 p.m. tip-off.
