The Alfred State College women's soccer team fell 4-0 to Broome CC in the Region III Division III B bracket finals in the rain on Saturday.  The Lady Pioneers, ranked #6 in the latest NJCAA poll, end the season 11-5-1 mark.

The Alfred State College women's soccer team fell 4-0 to Broome CC in the Region III Division III B bracket finals in the rain on Saturday.  The Lady Pioneers, ranked #6 in the latest NJCAA poll, end the season 11-5-1 mark.

The Hornets, the 2007 National Champions, scored three goals in the first half and held Alfred State to just two shots on goal.

Sarah Furminger and Tori Matt each notched a goal and an assist while QuantcastKatie Schild and Macy Davis added a goal each for the Hornets who advance to take on the Region XV Champion for a berth in the NJCAA Tournament.  Alicia Sagendorf recorded the shutout with one save.

Meghan Lowell (Keshequa) made 10 saves in net for the Pioneers who were vying for the college's first Regional Championship.
