Haines Earns Another Honor

Haines goes up for the blockAlfred State College freshman setter Brittany Haines (Salamanca) has earned another post-season honor.  This past weekend, Haines was named All-Region 1st team after helping the Lady Pioneers to a 20-14 overall record.

Haines goes up for the blockAlfred State College freshman setter Brittany Haines (Salamanca) has earned another post-season honor.  This past weekend, Haines was named All-Region 1st team after helping the Lady Pioneers to a 20-14 overall record.

Haines appeared in all 98 games for the blue and gold this season.  She averaged 8.1 assists per game (792 total), 2.4 digs (233 total), and 0.7 kills (67 total).  She also recorded 28 service aces and 17 blocks on the year.

This past weekend, Haines recorded 72 assists, 27 digs, and 10 kills in three matches at the Region III Division III Tournament.  For her play, Haines was named to the All-Tournament team.

Her season highs include 41 assists in an opening day contest versus Monroe CC, 14 digs at Monroe CC, and four aces versus both Nassau CC and Herkimer CCC.

Earlier in the season, Haines was named 1st team All-WNYAC.
