The Alfred State College Hinkle Memorial Library Gallery is currently displaying an exhibit by artist Vincent Shannon, which began Monday, Jan. 17, 2011 and will run through the end of February, 2011.
Shannon’s journey began in the 1990s when he began displaying his sculptures in his lawn in Hornell, NY. He exhibits sculptures made of mixed materials – car parts, plastic, and wood. He also exhibits modern abstract art paintings. He is currently painting guitars and painting canvas modern art similar to Jackson Pollack’s style.
Shannon is a Christian songwriter and sometimes plays guitar and sings in coffee-houses in New York and New Jersey.
