Bruno Saraceno (Binghamton) singled home the tying run in the 7th inning to send the contest versus Camden County into extra innings.  In the top of the 9th, Camden capitalized on a throwing error to score the winning run.

Bryan Lance (Chenango Forks) finished 2 for 4 with an RBI while Saraceno was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI.  Jeff Benchich (Millbrook) tossed all nine innings.  He allowed eight hits and two earned runs while striking out eight batters.

Versus Prairie State, ASC fell behind 11-1 but rallied to make the game interesting in the 7th inning.  Trailing 11-5 heading into the 7th, Jeff Paul (Horseheads) cut into the lead with a two-run homer and then Ruben Angeles (George Washington) connected on a three-run shot to make it 11-10 with no outs.  After a walk, a stolen base, and a sacrifice bunt the Pioneers had the tying run at 3rd with one out.  Prairie State beared down and stranded the runner on 3rd to seal the victory.

Kevin Underhill (Somers) continued his hot hitting on the spring trip with a 3 for 3 performance.  Angeles finished 2 for 4 with 3 RBI and kept the game close with 2.1 innings of mound work.  On the mound, he allowed three hits and two runs to keep the game going.

The Pioneers return to action on Saturday with a 9 a.m. contest versus Miami-Hamilton.
