Genesee CC used a balance scoring attack and a strong second half to down the Alfred State College women's basketball team 79-57 in WNYAC action.  ASC falls to 10-14 overall and 1-7 in conference play.

Marcedes Caver led the Cougars with 27 points, seven boards, five assists, and five steals.  Krystie Laurey finished with 21 points while Jamia Martin added 13.  GCC forced the Pioneers into 33 turnovers.

Shawna McNeil (Hornell) led the Lady Pioneers with 23 points and 10 rebounds.  Brittney Brooks (Elmira Free) finished with eight points while Megan Coates (Nazareth) added six points and nine rebounds and Amada Blake (Cuba Rushford) finished with six points and six boards.  Shadeeka Campbell (Brooklyn/William Grady) came off the bench and chipped in five points and a game high 14 rebounds.

GCC shot 38.5% for the game while ASC shot just 28.2%.

The Lady Pioneers play their final home game on the season on Tuesday when they host Erie CC.  Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
