Student Course Registration
Student Course Registration
New Student Registration
All first-time, full-time students are registered for their first semester of classes by our Academic Advising Center. The AAC utilizes a pre-scheduling survey completed by incoming students to create the best schedule possible for each student. The Pre-Scheduling Survey contains questions about different scheduling preferences such as, general education courses, athletic accommodations, job schedules, day and time preferences and more.
Students will receive a copy of their schedule when they attend one of our Orientation sessions this summer. Find our Pre-Scheduling Survey on our Applicant Homepage.
Transfer Student Registration
Transfer students work with their Faculty Advisor within their department to create their schedules. After sending all academic transcripts to the Records office, our Transfer Advisor will contact both student and advisor with the list of courses that were successfully transferred into Alfred State. Faculty Advisors will assist their transfer advisees on which courses are best to take and how the registration process works.
During times that faculty are not on obligation and are away from campus, transfer students are encouraged to reach out to the Academic Advising Center or their Department Chair for assistance with the registration process. The Academic Advising Center is available to help all students with registration questions at any time.
Continuing Student Registration
Continuing students will work with their Faculty Advisor to create their schedules. Faculty Advisors will provide their advisees with their Registration PIN and registration day/time, as well as helping them decide which courses are best to take that semester.
During times that faculty are not on obligation and are away from campus, continuing students are encouraged to reach out to the Academic Advising Center or their Department Chair for assistance with the registration process.
