Evaluation and Awarding of Transfer Credit
There are many ways to transfer credits to Alfred State. The following links allow you to plan ahead. Start by reviewing the degree planning worksheet for your intended major. Then you can use the guides below to see for yourself which credits may transfer.
In order for transfer credit to be evaluated, we require official transcripts from the original institution or source. Under the coordination of the transfer adviser, courses completed at an accredited institution recognized by the Department of Education and that can be applied toward graduation requirements at Alfred State will be reviewed for transfer approval by the department chair in which the course resides. Only those equivalent courses passed with a “C” or above can be given transfer credit*. Refer to Academic Regulation 305 for additional information on transfer credit regulations.
