Pioneer Woodsmen’s Team Hosts Pioneer Games

Alfred State’s Pioneer Woodsmen’s Team recently hosted the second-annual Pioneer Games on the Alfred campus, and brought home a first-place victory overall with one of its four teams. A total of 19 teams with 133 participants met for competition. Read Article

More Baseball Schedule Changes

This weekend's baseball four-game series vs. Finger Lakes CC has flip-flopped home dates. Saturday's DH will now be played at Finger Lakes CC with a 1 p.m. first pitch. Sunday's DH will now be played at Alfred with a start of 1 p.m. (If the field at Alfred is still unplayable on Sunday, the game will be played at Bolivar Richburg High School). Read Article

Alfred State Holds 28th Annual Honors Convocation

Alfred State celebrated the achievements of over 290 students at the 28th Annual Honors Convocation. This year’s convocation also featured the presentation of Leadership through Civic Engagement Awards from the College Council to nine student leaders and faculty/staff members Mark Payne, Dr. Douglas Pierson, and Wendy Dresser-Recktenwald. Baseball Falls in Two Close Contests

Alfred State and Jamestown CC battled in two tight Region III Division III contests on Sunday with the Jayhawks coming up on top 3-1 and 2-1 on Sunday afternoon. The Pioneers are now 6-26 (5-15 Region III Division III) on the season. Read Article

Lady Pioneers Drop Pair

The Alfred State softball team dropped a pair to Niagara CCC in a doubleheader played in a mix of rain and sleet. NCCC won 10-5 and 16-5 to drop the Lady Pioneers to 2-20 on the year. Read Article

Lax Wins Third Straight

The Alfred State lacrosse team outscored Jefferson CC 13-0 in the 2nd and 3rd quarter to earn a 22-7 victory over Jefferson CC.  The Pioneers have now won three straight and are now 6-8 overall and 5-7 in Region III play. Read Article

Edwards, Miller, and Hewlett Win Events at Geneseo Open

Brian Edwards (Neversink/Tri-Valley), David Miller (Elmira Southside), and Alex Hewlett (Wellsville) all won events as the Alfred State track & field team competed at the SUNY Geneseo Open. Read Article

Pioneers Rally in Nightcap to Earn Split

The Alfred State baseball team trailed twice in game two of the second game of a Region III Division III doubleheader at Corning CC but was able to rally for a 4-3 victory to salvage a split. The Red Barons jumped out to an early 9-0 lead in the opener en route to a 12-2 victory in the opener. Read Article
