Erie CC defeated Alfred State 12-4 in a Region III Division III baseball game played at Maple City Park on Thursday. The second game of the doubleheader was called due to rain and poor field conditions prior to the game reaching an official game.

The Alfred State lacrosse team fell behind early but rallied to tie their contest with Broome CC at 8-8 late in the 3rd quarter but the Hornets scored the next four goals and held off the Pioneers attempts to rally to stay alive for the postseason with a 12-10 victory. The Pioneers are now 6-9 overall (5-8 Region III) heading into their season finale on Saturday while BCC improves to 7-8 (6-7 RIII).
