Trap team finishes 6th at Nationals

Marketing students meet with professionals in industry

Alfred State marketing students enrolled in the BBA & AAS programs hit the road to interact and learn from professionals in industry. The real-world experiences brought lessons learned in the classroom to life.

Recently a group of thirteen marketing and graphic design students traveled to Rochester to take part in networking opportunities with the Linden Digital Marketing and the American Marketing Association (AMA) Rochester group.

Students present Drinking Water Treatment plans to Allegany County Department of Health

Six groups of Alfred State students majoring in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Surveying, and Architecture participated in a hands-on learning showcase in their Environmental Tech Concepts class. The students presented their drinking water treatment plans and posters to representatives from the Allegany County Department of Health (ACDOH).

Outstanding debut for Logging Sports

The Alfred State logging sports team had an impressive debut at the Paul Smith’s Fall Meet. The Open team won their competition while the men’s team finished third.

Nick Costabile-Clemence, Owen Ryan, Owen Wolfanger, Riana Barron, Simon Warriner, and Alex McCarthy scored 1,155 points to take the top spot for ASC in the Open competition. They scored top honors in the Pole Climb, the Bow Saw, and the Horizontal Chop. 

Paul Smith’s College was second with 1,089.2, while SUNY Morrisville was third with 983 points.
